This same-as-cash loan can act as a “bridge” to a tax refund or other income sources not readily available at the time of purchasing and installing a solar power system and offset the solar energy cost. Yes, our customers can get a year’s worth of free electricity with this loan which is tied to their FICO credit score. A minimum score of 680 is required and as much as $45,000 can be borrowed. This approach also allows the homeowner access to all the economic incentives for going solar, which along with energy savings, can be used to repay the loan in a very reasonable period of time, thus offsetting the solar energy cost.
